Small non-painful rash on inner thigh

Asked for Male, 21 Years

I've had this weird orangy/red circle shaped rash on my inner thigh for quite a while (maybe a few months). Its small, roughly the same area as an iPad stylus head and it causes me no pain nor does it feel raised when rubbing a finger across it. I havn't bothered getting it checked out because it causes me no problems. Any ideas?

You may be suffering from tinea cruris which is fungal infection of the inner thighs and genital area. It can be treated by taking four to six weeks of anti fungal treatment which includes tablets along with creams. Do not use soap over that area. Mistreatment with over the counter Steroid containing creams like panderm, quadriderm, dermi 5, candid b etc lead to repeated case of recurrence and also side effects due to application.
