Is it safe to go under Lasik, smile or contura vision surgery for myopia having power -5.5. My age is 23 and power is stable from 3 years.

Hi .. Before Lasik, a detailed check up is done to see of you are a good candidate for it . Contura is good . You can opt for a famtolasik  if you want ..smile is also good, but it is relatively newer technique and has certain limitations,  and some benefits ..you will have to discuss with your doctor.

If your corneal thickness and peripheral retina are within normal limits, you are a candidate for refractive correction.
