Hello ! There are two major symptoms related to ACL injury. One is presence of instability while you walk. This increases on running and walking on un level ground. You may also face problems walking downslope. Other complaint is usually pain n swelling on affected knee. Sound/noise from knee joint is not a problem. Please briefly describe mode of injury and time period since injury. Also specify if difficulty is associated with instability or not.
