Stiffness in muscles
Dear Doctor, 5 years ago ,my father met with an accident & was operated upon for rt.foot spiral fracture (2 major surgeries). After which I saw slight shivering on his operated foot but it stopped after some time. Now since 5 months I have observed stiffness in leg muscles, small steps, locking of muscles while walking due to which he fell once. Hand shivering ( earlier in left hand only but after taking ayurveda now in both the hands) . After taking ayurveda for 3 months his symptoms increased. I am unable to find a cure for his this condition. Really worried as he doesn't want to take any Neuro Medication. He was very active person before surgery but after his surgery his movement has really been effected. What should I do. Pls help?

Hi, if the shivering stopped after sometime this means there is no nerve damage. So the cause of shivering might be the weakness in muscles and stiffness in joints. If he hasn't undergone Physiotherapy then get it started asap.
Next Steps
Hand prehension/ precision exercise and finger dexterity exercises will definitely help. For legs, lower limb strengthening exercises would be the best solution.
Health Tips
Exercises must be performed under the supervision of physical therapist. Good luck.

Shivering in hand can occur due to a variety of reasons. Please meet with an orthopedic doctor who can confirm whether it is ortho or neuro problem. It is best if you stick to allopathy medicines especially since he has already undergone two major surgeries.
