I am under a lot of stress dur to frequent hospital visits for parents. My periods was 2 days late and I got this uncomfortable chest pain and back pain with lots.of burps whenever I eat or drink water. I went to a general physician and she checked my pulse, breathing and BP and said must be due to stress as I did a whole body checkup only 7 months back and cardiac reports back then seem normal. It's unlikely to develop cardiac complications so soon. She gave me antidepressants for 2 weeks. Today is the 4th day and I feel better but still have slight discomfort and burps.
Question: should I wait for 2 weeks or visit a cardiologist? Am I imagining too much (as dad is a cardiac patient) and it's just stress?
