Sudden heavy virginal bleeding

Asked for Female, 29 Years

My period was 2 week's ago. I went to the toilet for a pre and the toilet was full of blood. I had heavy virginal bleeding so I inserted a tampon. 2 hours later there is no blood at all. I had no pain. The blood was light red and brown in colour. What are the likely causes of this and should I be concerned. 24 hours later and still no more virginal bleeding or pain.

Have you used any medicine for withdrawal bleeding or postpone the period.If yes then maybe one reason.If not then meet to gynaecologist and discuss with her. Get done ultrasonography to know the pathology of uterus.
