Hello, I understand how worrying this must be for you. It sounds like you've been very proactive with your self-checks, which is great. The red rash you're describing could have a few possible causes. It might be something simple, like an allergic reaction or a skin infection. Sometimes, contact with certain fabrics, perfumes, or body lotions can trigger irritation. If you’ve recently changed any products or tried new clothing, that could be the reason. Another possibility is a condition called mastitis, which is an inflammation in the breast tissue. This can happen even if you aren’t breastfeeding. It usually causes redness, swelling, and sometimes pain. If the rash keeps growing, becomes painful, or if you develop any other symptoms like fever, it’s best to have it looked at in person. A dermatologist or a breast specialist will be able to examine it closely and suggest the right treatment. For now, avoid scratching the area or applying any creams that aren’t specifically for sensitive skin. If it’s itchy or uncomfortable, a cool compress might help.
