SWELLING ON BABY HAND IN VACCINATION
Dear doctor, My baby is 1 month old. During birth vaccination was done but still the spot is swelled. After 1 month this is not healed. Photograph given. What should I do. Kindly help

Its absolutely normal....it will take 3 to 4 wks usually but sometimes may last longer

This is due to BCG Vaccination.

This is the normal course and it should be like this.. Pus will come out of the swelling soon and results in scar formation so don't do anything and don't worry

This is a normal reaction to BCG vaccination It will ulcerate and heal within 3months leaving a BCG scar
