Swollen or normal?
Hello respected doctors, right after my baby born doctors gave her some vaccine ( on her first day) . now she is 4 months old but that vaccine mark is not going on her hand... . pic attached, please tell is this normal or abnormal normal rash? . if its normal why it is not going even after 4 momths???

Nothing to worry It is in the process of post vaccination BCG scar. Do not worry it will heal by itself

It will form BCG scar on its own, no need to worry

In case baby has high grade fever or immobility of joint contact nearest pediatrician

Hi, BCG scar forms after forming a wound, swells forms pus and heals generally by 4 months; if swelling is large and baby is excessively crying, lymph nodes in arm pit consult with pediatrician

This normally occurs due to BCG vaccination. Sometimes it opens up and forms a wound and heals by 3-4 months .

As it is taking more time to heal , better to consult ur paediatrician

BCG scar It will burst soon and then leave a scar Usually happens at 3 months of age but yes it is taking more time

It is normal after BCG vaccination. It will flatten and form a scar which is a normal reaction by 6m  of age usually
