If it was surgical extraction of wisdom tooth there may be pain for upto 10 days or so also. However if there is any increase in pain or swelling in that region then you must get a check up done to rule out infection.
Health Tips
Do hot water gargles with salt 3-4 times a day

Hello Please visit the dentist and rule out any infection in the extrcation socket. Even evaluate the other neighbouring teeth because if any other teeth has a decay then that should also be addressed to. Tell her to do warm saline rinses atleast 4-5 times in a day as well.
Next Steps
Get a clinical as well as radiographical examination for that extraction socket area and the neighbouring teeth.
Health Tips
please don't keep popping a painkiller instead get the treatment for the same.
