Can having bronchitis lead to severe throat pain? Or is it tonsillitis which can lead to this kind of pain which results in difficulty while eating..

Though your question is not very clear if you are using steroid inhalers for bronchitis then it can cause fungal infections of throat and cause throat pain. If not then it may be acute pharyngo-tonsillitis which is a common type of throat infection. You may need to take antibiotics and painkillers along with antiseptic mouth gargle for few days for faster recovery
