Throat tightness with GERD

Asked for Female, 19 Years

I am having Esophagitis,GERD but sometimes my throat also pains like tonsils and when I swallow food it feels like sticking in throat...Sometimes I fear that if my food will again stick so I have started eating less! When I went to ENT he said its reflux related and every problem will be solved once reflux comes under control!

What the ENT specialist has suggested is correct, sometimes the acid reflux reaches till the throat and results in symptoms that you are experiencing. Along with the prescribed medication I would suggest some lifestyle changes like 1- Small frequent meals 2- Frequent sips of water every 15-30 minutes 3- Brisk walk after 1 hour of meals & before going to sleep 4- Use of pillow while sleeping 5- Avoid spicy & fast foods
