TSH3 - UL = 329.3 uIU/mL FT3, SERUM = 0.260 pg/mL FT4, SERUM = 0.08 ng/dL Please tell me some solution for this problem. And also tell me what precautions I should take in this case regarding my diet.

Hypothyroidism Myxedema = severe hypothyroidism. SX – weakness/fatigue, feel cold, dec memory, constipation, weight gain, depression, bradycardia, dec DTRs. PE – all (look for weight gain, dry skin, loss of hair, macroglossia, goiter, non-pitting edema (myxedema).
Next Steps
DX – TSH (increased), Free T4 (decreased). Antibodies against thyroid peroxidase (positive in Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis). • CBC, CMP, fasting lipid panel.
Health Tips
TX – maintain a euthyroid state, w/ F/U Q6 wks. • Levothyroxine, start 12.5–50 mcg QD, then 50-200 mcg QD. • 2/3 the dose in elderly.
