Thyroid problem
Sir recently my mother having thyroid proble TSH 8.21 and cholestrol 206 and she is 60yrs old.if she take medicine of thyroid it will continue long life or when the TSH normal she can discontinue it.please advise what should be done.what measures to be taken and what are the precautions.and what things to be avoid.please suggest and please advice..if she can take thyroid medicine it will continue or not and what should be done

Hi The  thyroid  medicine  should  be  continued  all  time. Do not  discontinue  in between Monitor TFT  regularly  every  6 monthly  or  1 yearly.
