Tongue tie
My son new born baby just 1 month is his age. After birth we found that he has tongue tie problem now almost 5 weeks completely observed issue is still same. Mother milk drinking is good and weight growth also good, In this stage do we need to go for tongue tie surgery please advise

Observe if his tongue can come out of his mouth beyond his lower teeth.. if yes than it shouldn't be a problem for him in future.  If no than go for a tongue tie release operation before 3 years of his age

Tongue tie release is a small procedure only but it is usually done under general anaesthesia. I suggest u wait till tje baby grows up a bit, atleast 6months and then do it. Tongue tie would become a problem when he starts talking, so you can get it done before that. Right now, it is not an emergency is what i feel.wait till he is atleast 6months
