Tonsilitis
I've been having fever and sore throatfor the past few days,. I also had diarrhea and vomitting on Sunday, so i went to see my doctor. He said it was tonsilitis, and there was pus in my throat. He gave me augmentin 625mg, (amoxycillin + clavulanate potassium) to take 2 tablets per day. Its Tuesday now, my throat still hurts, I have a mild on and off fever. Ive tried checking my throat but i dont see any white patches or pus. Im very worried, will I get better?

You seem to be suffering from acute tonsillitis as a part of acute viral upper respiratory tract infection. Usually viral tonsillitis does not respond to any antibiotics and you may need to take blood tests and steroid injection along with analgesics for quick recovery
