Reasons of pain are many:- 1- Dental work may result in tooth sensitivity due to inflammation of the pulp tissues inside a tooth.
2- Decay, a loose filling and/ or a cracked tooth.
3- If its a lingering pain after eating anything hot/ cold then the pulp is inflamed/ dying, & may be irreversible damage usually as a result of deep decay or physical trauma.
