Dear patient, swelling in the tongue can be due to different reasons.1stly it may occur due to allergic reaction of some medicine, food or chemical like mouth wash.figure out if you are on some medicine or if you ate something new or new mouthwash. If none of the above, then there is chances of vit B12  deficiency. In this condition eating dietary food, egg, meat can help you. If  tongue swelling is accompanied by some other symptoms like rashes on skin or fever and vomitting then you must visit a physician. Keep yourself hydrated, it will help you in.any of the conditions.
Health Tips
you can have some pain killer for symptomatic relief.
