Tuberculosis still 4+ in sputum test
Hi I am an Indian student in Germany and I was diagnosed with tuberculosis and have been quarantined till I test negative on the sputum smear test..I have tb in my lungs and the doctors say the infection is high...It has been 18 days since I have been taking the medicines and my symptoms(weight loss,fever,night sweats)are all almost gone..But I am still getting a 4+ on the tb sputum smear tests.Does that mean my medication is not working?

It usually takes 6-8 weeks minimum for sputum to turn negative in Pulmonary Tuberculosis, if bacteria is sensitive to medication.....don't worry it will be fine soon....take regular treatment, good diet ....TB is completely curable....
