Uncontrolled Sugar
I have diabetes from 12 years and I am on insulin. My sugar levels are in the range of 170-190 fasting and 150-160 PP. I take Huminsulin R (20units) before breakfast , before lunch,before dinner and basalog (46units) bed time What else should be the medications and diet in order to control the sugar levels below 110 Thanks Regards Dr Rafiq

Your insulin requirement is quite high. Reason for the same needs to be found out. You can be put on some insulin sensitizer like metformin. Insulin basalog fails to work for 24 hrs and that's the reason for high fasting. It can be either changed or split in 2 doses. Go for a full consultation with diabetologist
