Upper gi bleeding but norml Hb
I was diagnosed with fundal mucosal bledding with erosive gastritis
The symptoms of black flakes in stool were there with me since an year almost
When i was diagnosed by endoscopy that my stomach is bleeding
The doctors were astonished and shocked that she is bleeding since a long tym but her haemoglobin is norml
My Hb. Is 13.5 and its 13.5 consistantly ...whenever and wherever i tested for hb it came out 13.5 only
The thing is that i wss loosing weight as i lodt 8-9 lg of weight during this scenario but hb was always on norml side
How is this possible plz answer .

Small amounts of blood loss can be easily recovered by human body. Also bleeding may net be continuous. It may be episodic.
Next Steps
a detailed Treatment is required for these bleeding lesions to heal. some tests have to be done and followed up.
