Urine infection
I DID URINE CULTURE TEST 3 TIMES(AFTER A COURSE OF ANTIBIOTICS). EVERYTIME A NEW BACTERIA COMES UP WITH COLONY COUNT > 100000. EVERY TIME DOCTOR SUGGESTS SOME NEW ANTIBIOTIC. IS IT COMMON OR SOMETHING TO WORRY ABOUT? MY CURRENT DOCTOR ALSO TOLD ME THAT I MIGHT HAVE TO GO FOR ENDOSCOPY AS I AM HAVING A 4MM OF STONE. SHOULD I GO FOR SECOND OPINION?

Hi, Persistent UTI need to be evaluated in detail. All causes for your low immunity and increased risk for infection needs to be investigated. Complete course of antibiotics needs to be given to prevent recurrence. Please also take proper care in giving urine sample. Mid stream urine after proper aseptic precautions.
