Very high power with burning in eyes
My power is left sph: -8.25 & cyl: 1.25 Right sph: -7.25 & cyl: -1.25 Sometimes I feel burning & dryness in eyes. Lasik surgery has been denied after the test. Can't I do anything to improve my eyesight? Is it to normal to have such a high power? I feel really conscious about it. I haven't heard about such a high power. Please guide or provide mentorship. Thank you so much. Looking forward for the response.

Hello A. Many people have higher power than this. You are not alone with this high power.. So, don't feel. Conscious about it B  lasik ia not a good option. Wait till power stabilises and then plan ICL provided all requirements are fulfilled. Consult local ophthalmologist C. Burning sensation is due to dryness.. Try cold compresses, reduce screen use and use lubricating eye drops frequently Please feel free to discuss more queries

Consult Ophthalmologist once in 6 months to assess whether your power is progressing or stable. Continue glasses and get complete Retina examination once in a year to prevent further complications .No need to worry follow the proper precautions.
