Vitamin D deficiency
My vitamin D level is: 19.72. Question: 1. What time is the correct time for exposing in sun? Some are saying 6am-9am, 4pm-6pm. Some are saying 10am-3pm. 2. If its 10am-3pm, are there side effects if exposed like skin becoming dark, skin cancer, sun stroke? 3. How many days should i expose in sun to get vit D levels back to normal? 4. Is it possible to get back to normal level without having vit D supplement tablet? Note: As i am at home due to corona, i am exposing to sun daily between 6am-9am and 4pm-6pm for 1hour. Am i doing correctly???

About 25 minutes duration time between 9 am and 11 am is okay because at that time the sun rays are neither too strong, nor too slanting. Sun helps to absorb the vitamin D from foods. I personally recommend strictly vegetarian sources of vitamin d like cheese, cow's milk, yoghurt, oatmeal, tofu

Average requirement of sunlight     30 min 3 times a week      Between 10 am to 4 pm     Darker people require more time than         fare peoples .     Some tan is unavoidable     You may use sunscreen for face     You need supplements .     Aim for level of  50 -     No vegetarian food contains vit d            except some mushrooms    Need to have animal sourced food   Food alone will not be sufficient . Sunlight is a  must for healthy . There are other benefits also .
Next Steps
Ensure sunlight .
