Always the best option is to extract your wisdom teeth, because due to lack of space it damages the adjacent tooth while erupting... It's an extra tooth which doesn't help in chewing purpose... And you don't have to worry about the procedure, your tooth will be extracted under local anaesthesia, it's a comfortable procedure... After procedure you should be under antibiotics and painkillers for three days and also there will be specific diet restrictions like to avoid hot and spicy food..
If there is no infection then operculectomy can be done
Doc ll remove the above portion of gums and pain ll b relieved but if there is indication of infection
Then extraction is the only option left
In procedure there ll not be any pain
But after that u have to take analgesic for a week
The position of the wisdom tooth can be identified with an x Ray. If the tooth is impacted/mal-positioned then it needs to be extracted. Extraction is performed after local anaesthesia so you will feel no pain during extraction. Mild pain and swelling occurs after extraction for which medication is prescribed.
