HIV cannot survive for very long outside of the body, and it cannot replicate without a human host. It depends on the fluid the virus is present in.Transmission can occur when body fluids come into contact with a mucous membrane, such as those inside the rectum, vagina, and mouth, and those on the penis.

I recommend you to get yourself tested if you suspect that any open wound of your body was in contact with the contaminated bench if at all. If not, you can get your mind at peace without thinking twice about it but would highly suggest you to avoid any such careless circumstances in future.
