1. What is taping?
Taping is a method of applying a therapeutic band that can heal variety of injuries and inflammatory conditions. It is used to change muscle tone, move lymphatic fluids, correct movement patterns and improve posture. It helps in reducing pain and improve healing of soft tissues.
2. How is kinesio taping performed?
Kinesio taping is performed by applying tape over the affected area with the muscles in a stretched position, from one end of the muscle to the other end. It is applied from origin to insertion of the muscle for support function and from insertion to origin of the muscle for rehabilitation purpose.

If skin irritation occurs, then remove tape immediately. Extreme stretching of tape should be avoided. Avoid shower or any activity for about 2 hours after taping so that glue adheres properly.
