I was misdiagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes Melitus based on my age. Was treated with Insulin for 1-1.5 years. I consulted Dr. Rakesh Parikh and after seeing my c Peptide results, family history, he advised to change my treatment a tad bit. The treatment showed great improvement immediately after starting. After seeing my Sugar Chart and my improved readings, I was dropped off Insulin conpletely. I advice all the youngsters of my age group 16-25 to atleast talk to the doctor about a C peptide test which differentiates Type 1 from type 2.

My mother had very high blood sugar even after taking number of tablets and insulin. I have tried several doctors but no one could diagnose the real problem. Dr Parikh first controlled the sugar levels and then gradually stopped insulin. Now my mother is very well controlled without insulin.

Friendly doctor ****** ** *** ****** For years i was being treated as type 1 diabetes with insulin injection. Only after consulting Dr Parikh i came to know that there are over 50 different types of diabetes. After talking to me for 20 minutes he concluded that i dont have type 1 diabetes without doing any investigation. He put me on tablets and now i am very well controlled without going through the pain of injections
