Paracetamol works by preventing the formation of prostaglandin, the chemical responsible for pain and fever. Phenylephrine acts on the blood vessels in the nose and helps in relieving congestion. Sodium Citrate acts as a mucolytic. It works by reducing mucus thickness, improving its clearance, and making it easier to cough out.
