Description

Gabantin 300 MG Capsule is an antiepileptic medicine used in the treatment of neuropathic pain (nerve pain due to damage or injury to your nerves). Nerve damage may occur due to various conditions like diabetes, cancer, spine disorders, thyroid problems, or HIV (Human immunodeficiency virus) infection. It can also be used to treat epilepsy (abnormal brain activity, causing seizures) in combination with other medicines. Gabantin 300 MG Capsule works by reducing the abnormal electrical activity and blocking the movement of pain signals in your brain. Gabantin 300 MG Capsule causes side effects like fatigue, loss of coordination, dizziness, and drowsiness. These side effects are temporary and usually resolve on their own. Consult your doctor if these side effects are worrying you. This medicine may cause mood and behavioural changes. If you develop mood changes or suicidal thoughts, contact your doctor immediately. Gabantin 300 MG Capsule can be taken with or without food as prescribed by your doctor. You should keep taking this medicine for the prescribed duration, even if you feel better after few doses. Complete the whole course to see the maximum benefits. Gabantin 300 MG Capsule is not recommended in children less than 6 years of age. Inform your doctor if you have kidney disease or any other medical conditions. You should not stop taking this medicine unless advised by your doctor. If stopped abruptly, you might experience withdrawal symptoms like anxiety, fatigue, sweating, vomiting, depression, seizures, and hallucinations. Gabantin 300 MG Capsule is not recommended if you are pregnant, or are breastfeeding. Your doctor may prescribe this only when the benefits outweigh the risks, or else another suitable medicine may be prescribed.
