Lung toxicity

This medicine is known to cause acute, subacute and chronic pulmonary reactions. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.

Impaired liver function

This medicine should be used with caution in patients with a known history of impaired liver impairment due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.

Peripheral neuropathy

This medicine should be used with caution in patients with a known history of peripheral neuropathy due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.

Hemolytic anemia

This medicine may cause abnormal breakdown of blood cells. Close monitoring of blood cell count and hemoglobin is necessary. Discontinue the treatment if any signs of decreased hemoglobin and red blood cell count appear.

Drug-resistance

This medicine without sufficient proof or suspicion of a bacterial infection should be avoided. Irrational dosing might fail in providing the benefits and even cause toxicity. It may also increase the risk of development of bacteria that is drug resistant.

Driving or operating machinery

This medicine may cause dizziness or drowsiness in some patients. It is advised that you do not perform any activities that require high mental alertness like driving a vehicle or operating machinery if you experience any of these symptoms during treatment with this medicine.

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one.
