Description

Ranipep D Tablet is a medicine with a combination of domperidone and ranitidine. It is used in the treatment of peptic ulcers (damage to the stomach, small intestine, and food pipe) and gastroesophageal reflux disease (backflow of stomach acid into food pipe). Ranipep D Tablet helps in relieving symptoms like indigestion, heartburn, excess gas formation due to excess acid production in the stomach. This medicine is also used in reducing gastric acid-induced or chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting. Ranipep D Tablet works by reducing the excess acid production thereby, relieves the symptoms of acidity. Ranipep D Tablet may cause side-effects like headache, weakness, stomach pain, diarrhoea, muscle pain, etc. Consult your doctor if these side effects persist. Avoid driving a vehicle or operating machinery after taking this medicine as it may cause dizziness. Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to it. Ranipep D Tablet is not recommended for use in children less than 12 years of age as safety is not established. Ranipep D Tablet is a prescription medicine. Take Ranipep D Tablet one hour before a meal or as advised by your doctor. Eat a healthy and balanced diet while using this medicine. Always try to finish your dinner three hours before heading to bed. Avoid spicy and fatty foods, alcohol, and reduce caffeinated drinks or beverages such as coffee, tea and cola while taking this medicine. Ranipep D Tablet may cause serious side effects to the foetus. Hence, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy. Also, this medicine is not recommended for use while breastfeeding. Maintain caution if you have kidney/liver problems while taking this medicine.

Nausea and vomiting

Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) is an acid reflux disease that occurs when stomach acid frequently flows back into the oesophagus or food pipe. Heartburn and acid indigestion are the main symptoms of GERD. This condition can be managed with lifestyle changes and over-the-counter medications to an extent. But sometimes medications or surgery is needed to get relief. Ranipep D Tablet helps in the treatment of GERD by decreasing stomach acid production.

Peptic Ulcer

Gastric ulcers are sores (damaged and painful areas) in the lining of the stomach and duodenum (the entrance of the small intestine).
