Description
AztoGold 20 Capsule is a combination of Aspirin, Atorvastatin and Clopidogrel. It is used to prevent stroke (damage to a part of the brain due to incompetent blood supply), heart attack (blockage of heart muscles due to the formation of plaques), due to high cholesterol/fat levels in your body. AztoGold 20 Capsule works by lowering the bad cholesterol and increases the level of good cholesterol in your body. It also decreases blot clot formation. AztoGold 20 Capsule may show some side effects like stomach pain, diarrhoea, headache and joint pain. These side effects subside on their own as your body starts adapting to this medicine. Consult your doctor if any side effects persist or worsen. AztoGold 20 Capsule may also increase the risk of bleeding, therefore be careful while using any sharp tool or objects. It is recommended that you avoid taking this medicine if you are previously allergic to it. AztoGold 20 Capsule is recommended to be taken with food to avoid any stomach problem. You may have to take this medicine for a long time. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells you to do so. AztoGold 20 Capsule may interact with the action of other medicines. Inform your doctor about any other health issues you have or if you are undergoing any medical treatment before taking this medicine. Allergy

Bleeding disorder

Liver disease

If you have any liver disease, do not take AztoGold 20 Capsule. This medicine is metabolised in the liver and if your liver is not functioning properly, it can lead to the accumulation of its metabolites and toxicity in your body.

General warnings

Driving or operating machinery

AztoGold 20 Capsule may cause symptoms such as blurred vision, dizziness, drowsiness, etc. If you experience any of these symptoms while taking this medication, it is recommended that you avoid doing any activities that require mental alertness such as driving or operating machines.

Use in children

AztoGold 20 Capsule is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age since the safety and efficacy data is not established.

Muscle degradation in elderly

AztoGold 20 Capsule may cause muscle breakdown along with symptoms such as severe tiredness and weakness, especially in elderly patients.

Missed Dose

If you missed a dose of AztoGold 20 Capsule , take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next, skip the missed dose. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

Overdose

Never take more than the prescribed dose of AztoGold 20 Capsule. If you suspect that you might have taken an overdose of this medicine, go to the nearer emergency medical department/hospital.

Rhabdomyolysis

Rhabdomyolysis is a condition in which muscle tissue and proteins enter the bloodstream due to muscle injury. It may lead to kidney failure and other problems. AztoGold 20 Capsule should be used with caution if you have rhabdomyolysis because it may worsen your condition.

Diabetes

Diabetes is a condition in which there is an increase in blood sugar levels. AztoGold 20 Capsule may interfere with your blood sugar control.

Cognitive Impairment

Cognitive impairment is a condition in which you have difficulty remembering, learning new things, focusing, or making decisions. AztoGold 20 Capsule should be used with caution if you have such a condition because it may worsen your condition.

How it works
AztoGold 20 Capsule is a combination of Aspirin, Atorvastatin and Clopidogrel. Aspirin works by preventing abnormal blood clotting and promotes a smooth flow of blood. Atorvastatin reduces the level of cholesterol in the blood and helps in preventing the increase of LDL (Low-density lipoproteins). Clopidogrel works by preventing the formation of clots in blood vessels and helps in free blood flow.
