Description
Betnovate-C Cream is a medicine that contains Betamethasone and Clioquinol. It is used to relieve inflammatory skin conditions such as swelling, redness, and itching of the skin. This medicine works by killing the bacteria and blocking the activity of certain chemical substances that cause redness and swelling of the skin. Betnovate-C Cream may cause some side effects like burning, irritation, itching, and redness at the site of application. These side effects may subside by themselves. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms bother you for a long time or worsen. Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to it. Betnovate-C Cream is for external use only. Wash and dry the affected area before application. Keep the skin clean and dry because the presence of water can increase microbial growth. Apply a thin layer of this cream on the affected area once or twice a day. Avoid contact with your eyes, nose, and mouth. Rinse thoroughly with water in case of accidental contact. If your symptoms do not resolve within seven days of treatment, consult your doctor. Betnovate-C Cream may not be suitable for all people. It is not recommended for use in children below one year of age. Inform your doctor about all your skin conditions before taking this medicine. Also, inform about all the medications and topically preparations that you may be using as they may interact with this medicine. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or are breastfeeding before using this medicine.
