Description
Dolokind Plus Tablet is a medicine that consists of Aceclofenac and Paracetamol. Dolokind Plus Tablet is used to treat pain, stiffness, and swelling at joints due to ankylosing spondylitis (a condition causing pain due to fusing of bones in the spine), osteoarthritis (a type of arthritis that causes pain on movement due to wearing of the protective covering at the ends of the bones) and rheumatoid arthritis (a condition where the body's immunity attacks the joints and damages it). Dolokind Plus Tablet is also used to get relief from headaches, toothaches, backaches, menstrual pain, sprains, and strains. This medicine blocks the release of a chemical that causes pain and swelling. Dolokind Plus Tablet shows side effects like nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, loss of appetite, and diarrhoea. Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to it. Dolokind Plus Tablet may also cause dizziness and drowsiness. Do not drive or operate machines if you feel drowsy or dizzy after taking this medicine. Dolokind Plus Tablet can be taken with food, milk, or an antacid to avoid stomach irritation. Dolokind Plus Tablet relieves pain and swelling due to arthritic conditions but does not cure it. Do not self-medicate or use it beyond the prescribed duration. Dolokind Plus Tablet should be used with caution if you have a history of stomach or intestinal bleeding, asthma, and severe heart, liver and kidney problems. Inform your doctor if you have a history of any medical conditions and also your current/previous medication. This medicine may affect the development of your foetus. If you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or a breastfeeding mother, consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

Allergy

Kidney damage

A long term use and higher doses of some painkillers may harm normal kidney function. Dolokind Plus Tablet is not recommended if you have kidney problems associated with the excessive use of painkillers. Ask your doctor/pharmacist how this medicine affects your kidney function.

Severe liver disease

Avoid using Dolokind Plus Tablet if you have liver problem. This medicine gets converted to its active form in the liver. If you take this medicine, more active forms can accumulate and damage your liver.

Gastrointestinal bleeding

Dolokind Plus Tablet is not recommended for use in individuals with gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation disorders since it may worsen the condition.

General warnings

Overdose and/or excessive use

The excessive use of Dolokind Plus Tablet results in liver damage. Use this medicine as advised by your doctor/pharmacist. Seek emergency medical attention if an overdose is suspected.

Heart surgery

Do not use Dolokind Plus Tablet for relieving pain after heart surgery.

Skin rash

Dolokind Plus Tablet may cause serious skin allergies. These events may be severe in rare cases. Signs and symptoms like rashes, hives, fever, or other allergic symptoms should be reported to your doctor immediately. The treatment should be discontinued if these symptoms appear.

Bleeding disorders

Dolokind Plus Tablet may prolong the blood clotting time and therefore increase the risk of bleeding. Use it cautiously if you have bleeding or clotting defects such as haemophilia (a genetic blood disorder in which the blood does not clot properly), vitamin K deficiency, and hypoprothrombinemia (a condition characterized by a deficiency of blood clotting substance prothrombin).

Driving or operating machinery

Dolokind Plus Tablet may cause sleepiness or dizziness. Avoid driving vehicles and operate heavy machines after taking this medicine.

Missed Dose

If you forgot to take a dose of Dolokind Plus Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. However, if the time for your next dose is near, skip the missed dose. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one.

Overdose

Never take Dolokind Plus Tablet more than the prescribed dose. If you suspect that you might have taken an overdose of this medicine, go to the emergency department of your local hospital.

Liver Disease

Avoid taking Dolokind Plus Tablet if you have liver problem. This medicine can accumulate in the diseased liver and lead to further liver damage.

Asthma

You may experience exacerbation of asthmatic episodes while taking Dolokind Plus Tablet. Hence it is not recommended for use if you have asthma, especially when you had experienced allergic reactions by using non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines.

Gastrointestinal toxicity

Long term use of Dolokind Plus Tablet can damage your stomach and intestine. Any symptom indicating ulceration and bleeding like chronic indigestion, the appearance of coffee coloured dry blood in stools or blood vomiting should be reported immediately to your doctor.

Heart Disease

Long-term use of Dolokind Plus Tablet may increase the risk of a heart attack if you have pre-existing heart conditions. It is not used for treating pain after coronary bypass surgery.

5-HIAA Urine Test

5-HIAA urine test measures the amount of serotonin in your body. Dolokind Plus Tablet can interfere with a urine test and may give a false-positive result. Inform your doctor and lab technician about all your current medicines before undergoing any lab test.
Take Dolokind Plus Tablet with or after food to avoid stomach irritation. Never take more than the prescribed dose. Take this medicine at around the same time daily. Do not stop the use of this medicine without consulting your doctor. Do not break, crush or chew the tablet in the mouth. Take it immediately after peeling it from the strip. Avoid alcohol consumption while taking this medicine as it may elevate dizziness or drowsiness and cause stomach bleeding. Do not drive or operate machines if you feel dizzy or drowsy.
