Description
Epilido Cream is a combination medicine composed of Lidocaine and Prilocaine. It is used as a topical anesthetic that may cause numbness in the surrounding skin. It is also used to numb the skin before medical procedures such as inserting a needle, skin grafts, or skin laser surgery. This medicine works by blocking the pain signals from the applied area to the brain. Epilido Cream can cause side effects like redness, pigmentation, blanching (whitish colouration of the skin) etc. at the applied area. Most of these are temporary and resolve on their own. Consult your doctor if these side effects are getting persistent or worse. Epilido Cream is meant for external use only and should not be used in or near the eyes and ears. Your doctor can perform a patch test (a procedure done on your skin) if you are using it for the first time. Epilido Cream is not recommended if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor about your current medications and existing medical conditions. This will help your doctor to adjust your dose for avoiding side effects. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using this medicine.
