Description
Faronac 200 mg Tablet is an antibiotic used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections affecting the ears, nose, throat, urinary tract, skin, lungs, or genital tract, especially when other antibiotics are ineffective. It should only be used to treat infections that are caused by bacteria and not viruses or fungi. This medicine works by preventing the formation of the bacterial cell wall (protective outer covering of the bacteria), thus killing the bacteria. Faronac 200 mg Tablet can cause side effects such as diarrhoea, stomach pain, headache, weakness, nausea, and vomiting. Consult your doctor if they persist or become severe. Avoid activities that require high mental alertness, like driving vehicles and operating machines, as this medicine may cause dizziness. Avoid taking this medicine if you are allergic to it. It is advised to stay hydrated while taking this medicine, as it can cause dehydration due to diarrhoea. Faronac 200 mg Tablet is a prescription medicine. It can be taken with or without food. For ease of remembering, take this medicine around the same time every day. Once an antibiotic is started, always finish the entire course of treatment to prevent antibiotic resistance (when bacteria develop the ability to defeat the antibiotic intended to kill them). Do not take it without a doctor's prescription as any unnecessary usage of an antibiotic can make it less effective against future infections. Faronac 200 mg Tablet may not be suitable for everyone. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or are breastfeeding before beginning treatment with this medicine. Caution should be maintained while taking Faronac 200 mg Tablet in the elderly or if you have kidney problems. Your doctor may recommend monitoring your liver and kidney function to ensure you are safe during treatment with this medication. Faronac 200 mg Tablet it is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age as the safety and efficacy data are not clinically established. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
