Description
Kinpride 1 mg Tablet is a gastroprokinetic medicine that enhances the motility of the stomach and intestine and anti-ulcer medicine. This medicine is used to treat Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), a condition in which stomach acid flows back into the food pipe, causing heartburn and discomfort It is also used to treat non-ulcer dyspepsia (indigestion), and gastroparesis (delayed gastric emptying). Kinpride 1 mg Tablet works by increasing the production of a chemical messenger that improves the movement of food from the mouth through the oesophagus, stomach, intestines and out of the body. Kinpride 1 mg Tablet shows common side effects like headache, dizziness, nausea, and vomiting. This medicine can also cause diarrhoea; hence, drink plenty of water to prevent dehydration. These side effects are temporary and resolve with time, however, it is advised to consult your doctor if the side effects persist or do not go away. Kinpride 1 mg Tablet is usually taken 15 minutes before each meal. It is suggested to take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. He/she will suggest the dose and duration of Kinpride 1 mg Tablet depending on your condition and symptoms. Do not self-medicate as this can lead to certain complications. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you notice it. If your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and continue to your regular dosing plan. Do not take an extra dose to make up for a missed dose. Kinpride 1 mg Tablet is not recommended if you have gastrointestinal bleeding (a condition in which bleeding occurs in your oesophagus, stomach, or intestine), intestinal obstruction (blockage in your intestine), and perforation (hole in the wall of stomach or intestine). Inform your doctor if you have any kidney, liver, heart problems, or any other medical conditions as this will help your doctor to plan the treatment accordingly. Also, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding as this medicine may not be safe during pregnancy and for the infant.

Allergy

Stomach Ulcers

Do not take Kinpride 1 mg Tablet if you are having stomach ulcers, this medicine may worsen your condition.

Tardive dyskinesia

Tardive dyskinesia is a neurological condition that involves abnormal movements of the jaw, lips and tongue. The condition is caused by prolonged use of some psychiatric medicines. Kinpride 1 mg Tablet is not recommended for people having Tardive dyskinesia, as it can worsen their condition.

Use in children

Driving and Operating machinery

Kinpride 1 mg Tablet may cause drowsiness, hence it is advised to not perform any activities that require high mental alertness such as driving or operating machines if you are taking this medicine.

Missed Dose

If you forgot to take the dose of Kinpride 1 mg Tablet at a given time, then take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed dose.

Overdose

Never take more than the prescribed dose of Kinpride 1 mg Tablet. If you suspect that you might have taken an overdose of this medicine, go to the emergency department of your local hospital.
