Description
Lignogesic Gel is a combination of Mephenesin, Diclofenac, Lidocaine, Methyl Salicylate, Menthol and Linseed Oil. It is used to relieve joint pain associated with arthritis (swelling, tenderness, and pain of one or more joints). It is also used to relieve pain caused by muscle injuries such as sprain or strain. It works by blocking the action of certain chemicals responsible for pain and swelling. Lignogesic Gel may rarely cause side effects such as redness, rash, or itching at the site of application. These side effects are usually mild and resolve with time. However, consult your doctor if any of these side effects persist or worsen. Lignogesic Gel is meant for external use only. Wash and dry the affected area and apply a thin layer of the medicine to the affected area. Do not cover the area with bandages or use heating pads unless directed by your doctor to do so. Keep the area away from water for at least one hour to prevent the medicine from getting rinsed. Avoid using it on broken skin or open wounds. Rinse immediately with water if this medicine comes in contact with eyes, nose, mouth, and other sensitive parts as it may cause irritation. Lignogesic Gel is not recommended for use if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you are using any other topical medicines.
