Description
Mikacin 100 MG Injection is an antibiotic. It is used to prevent or treat a wide variety of bacterial infections such as infections of the lungs, skin, abdomen, blood, brain, urinary tract, bones and joints. It works by blocking the production of essential proteins required for bacterial growth. This prevents further growth and kills the infection-causing bacteria. It is not effective against infections caused by viruses. Mikacin 100 MG Injection may cause side effects like pain at the injection site, skin rash, headache, weakness, etc. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or worsen. Avoid driving vehicles or operating machines as this medicine may make you feel drowsy or dizzy. Mikacin 100 MG Injection is administered by your doctor in a clinic or a hospital setting. The dose and duration of the treatment will depend on your condition. Follow the instructions given by your doctor. This medication is effective only for the treatment of infections caused by bacteria and not viruses. Mikacin 100 MG Injection is not recommended if you are allergic to it. Mikacin 100 MG Injection may increase your risk of kidney damage. This risk is especially higher if you have pre-existing kidney problems. Inform your doctor if you experience any signs and symptoms of kidney damage such as nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, increased/decreased urination, sudden weight gain/weight loss, fluid retention, swelling, shortness of breath, muscle cramps, tiredness, weakness, dizziness, confusion, and irregular heart rhythm.

Neuromuscular disorders

Mikacin 100 MG Injection may increase your risk of muscle weakness. This risk is especially higher if you have neuromuscular problems such as myasthenia gravis (a condition that causes weakness in your skeletal muscles, the muscles your body uses for movement), parkinsonian syndrome (a condition that affects your body movement), etc. Inform your doctor if you experience any worsening of your condition while on treatment with this medicine.
