Description
Milixim 50 MG Suspension is an antibiotic medicine that contains cefixime as an active ingredient. It is used to treat bacterial infections affecting the lungs, throat, and urinary tract (kidneys, bladder, ureters, or urethra). It is also used to treat a sexually transmitted infection called gonorrhoea that infects both men and women. This suspension kills or stops the growth of bacteria that causes infection. It is not effective against infections caused by viruses. Milixim 50 MG Suspension can cause some side effects like diarrhoea, stomach pain, headache, weakness, nausea, and vomiting. Do not take this medicine if you are previously allergic to it. Do not drive a vehicle or operate machinery after taking this medicine as it can cause dizziness. It is likely to cause allergic skin reactions in some people. This medicine is not recommended for use in children below the age of 6 months. Milixim 50 MG Suspension can be taken with or without food. The treatment duration and dosage should be followed as prescribed to avoid bacterial resistance. It should not be taken when it is not required as that can make it less effective for future infections. Milixim 50 MG Suspension may not be safe for use in pregnancy/breastfeeding as the data is insufficient, consult your doctor before using it. Inform your doctor if you are diabetic or having kidney/heart diseases before taking this medicine. Consult your doctor if your symptoms do not improve even after completing the treatment course.
