Naturogest 50 MG Injection contains a hormone (chemical messenger) obtained from plants sources that mimic the action of the female hormone progesterone. This medicine is used for hormone replacement therapy and for the treatment of female infertility. Naturogest 50 MG Injection is also used to treat cases of irregular periods. Naturogest 50 MG Injection also helps to maintain healthy pregnancy by helping the uterus (womb) grow and preventing contractions during pregnancy. Naturogest 50 MG Injection may be associated with certain side effects like nausea, headache, vomiting, upset stomach, constipation, pain at the injection site, etc. Inform your doctor if any of these side effects persist for a long time. Naturogest 50 MG Injection is given by a qualified medical practitioner, therefore do not self administer it. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dose and duration of the therapy. This can vary depending on the condition you are being treated for and may change over time. Complete the course of this medicine and do not abruptly stop the treatment. Inform your doctor if you have any medical conditions like breast cancer, liver, kidney or heart problems. You may be advised few tests before and during the treatment with this medicine. Allergy

Naturogest 50 MG Injection is not recommended for use if you have a known allergy to progesterone or other progestin analogues (synthetic hormones that act in a similar way as progesterone), or any other inactive ingredients of this medicine. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms of serious allergic reactions such as skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, breathing difficulty, etc.

Abnormal vaginal bleeding

Naturogest 50 MG Injection is not recommended for use if you have an abnormal vaginal bleeding episode that has not been diagnosed by a doctor. If you have any menstrual abnormalities, report them to the doctor immediately.

Miscarriage

Avoid using Naturogest 50 MG Injection if you had a miscarriage/ missed abortion (foetus is not alive and present inside the uterus) recently, as it may cause serious side effects and worsen your health condition.

Heart and blood vessel disorder

Avoid using Naturogest 50 MG Injection if you have a history of stroke (brain damage due to blocked blood flow), heart attack or any medical condition that causes blood clotting problems. Using this medicine increases the risk of blood coagulation which may worsen your condition. Inform your doctor about your medical history before taking this medicine.

Liver disease

Naturogest 50 MG Injection is absorbed in the liver and improper liver function can lead to its accumulation. Avoid this medicine if you have severe liver problems. If you notice any signs of jaundice (like yellowish discolouration of skin and eyes) or other liver-related problems, discontinue the use of this medicine and inform your doctor.

Breast cancer

If you have or suspect having breast cancer, do not take Naturogest 50 MG Injection as it may worsen your condition. Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have a family history of breast cancer. Your doctor will monitor your clinical condition during the treatment with this medicine. Retinal thrombosis

Retinal thrombosis is an eye condition that occurs as a result of blood clot formation in the vein in the retina (part of the eye that enables vision). It is a painless condition that causes blurring or loss of eyesight. It usually always occurs in only one eye. Use Naturogest 50 MG Injection with caution if you have renal thrombosis as it may cause side effects such as loss of vision, blurred vision, or retinal vascular lesions. This risk is especially high if you have a history of vision problems or have active vision problems.

Fluid Retention and Oedema

Naturogest 50 MG Injection can cause fluid retention and oedema (swelling of the tissues beneath your skin) especially when used for a long period. Use it with caution if you have a history of excess fluid retention.

Hyperlipidaemia

Naturogest 50 MG Injection should be used with extreme caution if you are diagnosed with hyperlipidaemia (increased fat levels in the blood) as it may increase the fat deposits and worsen your condition.
