Description
Nikoran 10 mg Tablet is used for the symptomatic treatment of angina (chest pain that occurs due to reduced blood flow to the heart). It is used when other medicines do not work or are not suitable for treating this condition. Nikoran 10 mg Tablet works by relaxing and widening the blood vessels, thus reducing the workload on the heart. Nikoran 10 mg Tablet shows side effects like headache, weakness, nausea, vomiting, flushing, dizziness, etc. Avoid driving vehicles or operating machines if you feel dizzy after taking this medicine. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects do not resolve with time or worsen. Avoid using this medicine if you are allergic to it. Nikoran 10 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food. Your doctor will determine the dose and duration of treatment based on the severity of your condition. Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor as sudden withdrawal may worsen your condition. Allergy

Avoid taking Nikoran 10 mg Tablet if you are allergic to it. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice symptoms such as skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, breathing difficulty, etc.

Hypovolaemia

Hypovolaemia is a decrease in the volume of blood in your body. Nikoran 10 mg Tablet is not recommended for use if you have hypovolaemia as it may increase the risk of low blood volume.

Pulmonary oedema

Pulmonary oedema is a condition in which there is an accumulation of excess fluid in the lungs. Nikoran 10 mg Tablet is not recommended for use if you have pulmonary oedema.

Cardiogenic shock

Cardiogenic shock is an emergency condition in which the heart suddenly stops pumping enough blood throughout the body to meet its demands. Nikoran 10 mg Tablet is not recommended for use if you have a cardiogenic shock as it may further worsen your condition.

Severe hypotension

Nikoran 10 mg Tablet is not recommended for use if you have hypotension (low blood pressure) as it may worsen your condition.

General warnings

Driving or operating machines

Nikoran 10 mg Tablet may cause side effects such as low blood pressure, drowsiness, weakness, and dizziness. Hence, avoid performing activities that require high mental alertness, such as driving vehicles or operating machines, if you experience such symptoms.

Ulceration

Nikoran 10 mg Tablet should be used with caution as it may cause ulcers, particularly mouth, eye, or skin ulcers.

Use in children

Nikoran 10 mg Tablet is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age as the safety and efficacy data are not clinically established.

Hyperkalaemia

Nikoran 10 mg Tablet may cause hyperkalaemia (increase in the blood potassium levels) in some cases. Hence this medicine should be used with caution in combination with other medications that may increase potassium levels or if you have moderate to severe kidney problems.

Missed Dose

If you forget to take a dose of Nikoran 10 mg Tablet at a given time, take it as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed dose.

Overdose

Never take more than the prescribed dose of Nikoran 10 mg Tablet. Seek emergency medical attention in case of an overdose.
