Oflabin 100 MG Tablet DT is an antibiotic used for the treatment of bacterial infections affecting your lungs, skin, and urinary tract. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria that causes infection. It is not effective against infections caused by viruses. Oflabin 100 MG Tablet DT can cause side effects like diarrhoea, stomach pain, headache, nausea, and vomiting. Consult your doctor if these side effects persist or become worse. Avoid activities that require mental focus like driving and operating machines as this medicine may cause dizziness. Oflabin 100 MG Tablet DT can be taken with or without food as prescribed by your doctor. Your doctor will determine the dose of this medicine based on your condition. Take this medicine at the same time every day for the ease of remembering. Complete the whole course of treatment for maximum benefit and to prevent the risk of re-infection. Oflabin 100 MG Tablet DT is not recommended for use if you are allergic to it. Allergy

Myasthenia gravis

Myasthenia gravis is a skeletal muscle weakness condition characterized by severe weakness of any of the muscles under your voluntary control, including the arms and legs. Oflabin 100 MG Tablet DT should be avoided if you have myasthenia gravis as it may get worsen.

General warnings

Muscle damage

Oflabin 100 MG Tablet DT can cause muscle damage usually on the tendons that surround the ankle. Inform your doctor if you feel pain, numbness, or tingling sensations in your muscles.

Antibiotic resistance

Finish your entire course of treatment with Oflabin 100 MG Tablet DT, even if the condition gets better to avoid antibiotic resistance (the bacteria may become resistant to antibiotics). If you still feel unwell after completing your antibiotic course, make an appointment to consult your doctor.

Driving or operating machinery

Oflabin 100 MG Tablet DT may cause dizziness or sleepiness and interfere with eyesight. Hence, do not drive vehicles or operate machines after taking this medicine.

Photosensitivity

Oflabin 100 MG Tablet DT may make you more sensitive to sunlight or tanning lights. Use sunscreens or wear protective clothing to avoid adverse reactions before stepping outside.

Diarrhoea

Oflabin 100 MG Tablet DT can cause diarrhoea because it may also kill the helpful bacteria in your stomach or intestine. Inform your doctor immediately if you experience severe diarrhoea that is watery or bloody.

Antacids

If you are taking an antacid containing aluminium and magnesium salts for indigestion, it can increase the time it takes for Oflabin 100 MG Tablet DT to act on your body. Hence, it is recommended to take this medicine at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after taking antacids.

Missed Dose

Do not skip any dose of Oflabin 100 MG Tablet DT. If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If your next dose time is near, skip the missed dose and take your next scheduled dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one.

Overdose

Never take more than the prescribed dose. Seek emergency medical attention if you suspect that you might have taken an overdose of Oflabin 100 MG Tablet DT.
