Description
Potrate MB6 Solution is a combination of Potassium Citrate, Magnesium Citrate, and Pyridoxine. It is used for the prevention and treatment of kidney stones. It also helps to relieve pain or a burning sensation during urination. It works by making your urine less acidic. Thus it raises the pH of your urine, preventing the formation, growth, and accumulation of crystals in your kidneys, thereby preventing kidney stones. Potrate MB6 Solution may cause side effects such as upset stomach, diarrhoea, nausea, etc. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or become severe. Potrate MB6 Solution should be taken exactly as advised by your doctor. Take it at the same time every day to maintain a constant level of this medicine in your body. Avoid taking more or less than the recommended dose. Potrate MB6 Solution should be avoided if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor about all your current medicines to avoid any undesired effects. If you are pregnant or are breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking Potrate MB6 Solution.

Allergy

Hyperkalaemia

Hyperkalaemia is a condition of high blood potassium levels. Potrate MB6 Solution is not recommended for use if you have hyperkalaemia as it may further increase your blood potassium levels and cause heart rhythm problems.

Urinary Tract Infection

Urinary tract infection is an infection in any part of the urinary system, the kidneys, bladder (an organ that stores urine), or urethra (a tube that carries urine from your bladder to the exterior of the body for the removal of urine). Potrate MB6 Solution is not recommended if you have urinary tract infection as it may worsen your condition.

Severe kidney impairment

Severe kidney disease is a condition with a loss of kidney function. Potrate MB6 Solution is not recommended for use if you have severe kidney problems characterised by azotemia (high blood levels of urea and creatinine), oliguria (reduced urine output), or anuria (when the kidneys stop producing urine). This medicine is eliminated by the kidneys and when used during such conditions, it may increase your risk of hyperkalaemia (high blood potassium levels) and heart rhythm problems due to the accumulation of this medicine in your body.
