General warnings

Ototoxicity

This medicine may cause damage to the inner ear, including hearing loss and should be used with extreme caution in patients with auditory impairment. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition.

Visual disturbances

The ophthalmic use of this medicine may cause visual disturbances in some patients. Hence, it is advised that you do not perform any activities that require high mental alertness such as driving a vehicle or operating heavy machinery if you experience any visual disturbances during treatment with this medicine.

Contact lens

The ophthalmic form of this medicine when used in individuals wearing contact lens, prior to instillation of the medicine, the contacts lens should be removed and can be reinserted 15 minutes post instillation of this medicine.

Other medicines

This medicine may interact with many other medicines and may cause severe adverse effects. Hence, it is advised that you inform the doctor about all your current medicines including any herbs and supplements before beginning treatment with this medicine.

Missed Dose

The missed dose should be administered/applied as soon as possible. It is advisable to skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose. Do not instill/apply a double dose to make up for the missed one.
