Description
Sternon-S Ointment is a combination of Betamethasone and Salicylic Acid. It is used in the treatment of skin conditions like eczema (dry and itchy skin) or psoriasis (a skin disease that causes red, itchy, and scaly patches). This medicine works by blocking certain chemicals in your body that cause swelling, itching, and irritation. It also removes the dead skin and promotes healing. Sternon-S Ointment shows common side effects like burning, itching, redness, and dryness of the skin at the application site. These side effects usually subside by themselves as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if it continues to bother you. Sternon-S Ointment is for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and any open areas in your body. Use regularly as directed by your doctor. Wash and dry the affected area before application. Avoid applying more than the required quantity. Avoid applying this medicine to other areas of the body and for other skin conditions. Sternon-S Ointment is not recommended if you are allergic to it. Appropriate corrective measures or a suitable alternative may be suggested by your doctor based on your clinical condition.

External use only

Sternon-S Ointment is only recommended for external use. Avoid contact with your mouth, eyes, mucous membranes, cuts, or open wounds.

Other medicines

Sternon-S Ointment may interact with other topical medicines and increase the risk of side effects. Hence, inform your doctor about all your current medicines before beginning treatment with Sternon-S Ointment .

Chronic use
