Description
Tadox DP Tablet is a combination medicine that consists of Dapoxetine and Tadalafil. It is used mainly to treat premature ejaculation in adult men. Tadox DP Tablet acts by relaxing the blood vessels of your penis, allowing better blood flow into your penis when you get sexually excited. This medicine is also used for conditions such as prostate gland enlargement, impotence and pulmonary hypertension (high BP). Tadox DP Tablet shows side effects that include headache, nose bleeds, dizziness, nausea, indigestion, flushing (sensation of warmth in the ears, face, neck etc) and dry mouth. It also causes dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental alertness after taking this medicine. Tadox DP Tablet can be taken with or without food three-four hours before intercourse as advised by your doctor. Do not take it without consulting your doctor. Tadox DP Tablet should be used with caution if you have kidney or liver problems. Inform your doctor if you have a history of seizures, depression, and other psychiatric disorders. Tadox DP Tablet can interact with other medicines and cause undesirable effects. Inform your doctor about all other medicines you are taking. If you experience pain after using this medicine or erection persists for more than four hours after intercourse, consult your doctor.

Allergy

Tadox DP Tablet is not recommended if you are allergic to dapoxetine or any other ingredients present along with it. Consult your doctor if you experience any symptoms like rash, hives, itching, redness of the skin, breathing difficulties, etc.

Heart failure

Tadox DP Tablet is not recommended for use if you have any medical condition of the heart due to the increased risk of worsening of your condition.

Heart rhythm disorders

Tadox DP Tablet is not recommended if you have abnormalities of the heart rhythm due to the increased risk of worsening of your condition.

Bipolar disorder

Tadox DP Tablet is not recommended if you have a history of mania or severe depression (bipolar disorder) due to the increased risk of worsening of your condition.

Loss of consiousness

Tadox DP Tablet is not recommended for use if you have syncope characterized by frequent loss of consciousness and muscle strength due to the increased risk of worsening of the symptoms.

Kidney diseases

Tadox DP Tablet is not recommended if you have kidney problems due to the increased risk of severe side effects. Frequent monitoring of your kidney function may be required.

Liver disease

Tadox DP Tablet is not recommended if you have liver problems due to the increased risk of severe side effects. Frequent monitoring of your liver function may be required.

Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI)

Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI)are a class of medicines used to treat depression. Tadox DP Tablet is not recommended for use if you have taken MAOIs within the last 14 days due to the increased risk of serious side effects.

Thioridazine

Thioridazine is a first-generation antipsychotic medicine that is used in the treatment of mental health conditions. Tadox DP Tablet is not recommended for use if you are taking thioridazine. Tadox DP Tablet should not be taken within 14 days of discontinuing treatment with thioridazine. Similarly, thioridazine can be taken 7 days after stopping the uptake of Tadox DP Tablet.

Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs)

Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) are the most commonly prescribed medicines that are used in the treatment of depression. Tadox DP Tablet is not recommended for use if you are taking any other medicine belonging to the Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) class (ex: citalopram). Tadox DP Tablet should not be taken within 14 days of discontinuing treatment with any SSRI medicines. Similarly, other SSRI medicine can be taken 7 days after stopping the uptake of Tadox DP Tablet.

General warnings

Use in healthy men

Tadox DP Tablet should not be used if you do not have a premature ejaculation problem. The safety and efficacy of this medicine for delaying ejaculation in healthy men is not established and hence self-administration is not recommended.

Recreational drugs

Tadox DP Tablet should not be used while taking other recreational drugs as the risk of serious side effects is significantly high.

Proper diagnosis

It is advised to take Tadox DP Tablet only after a proper diagnosis has been made. This medicine should not be used for other forms of sexual dysfunctions.

Orthostatic hypotension

Tadox DP Tablet may cause a fall in blood pressure, especially while getting up from a sitting or a lying position, leading to lightheadedness and fainting. It is advised that you get up slowly from a sitting or a lying position to avoid these side effects during treatment with this medicine. Report any such symptoms to the doctor immediately.

Use in children

Tadox DP Tablet is not recommended for use in children less than 18 years of age.

Bleeding disorders

Tadox DP Tablet should be used with caution if you have an active bleeding disorder due to the increased risk of excessive bleeding.

Seizures

Tadox DP Tablet should be used with caution if you have a seizure disorder due to the increased risk of worsening your condition. Any seizure episode should be reported to the doctor on priority. Treatment with this medicine may be discontinued based on your clinical condition.

Dizziness and fainiting

Tadox DP Tablet may cause recurring episodes of dizziness and fainting. It is advised that you do not perform activities that require high mental alertness such as driving vehicles or operating machines during treatment with this medicine.

Hypotension

Tadox DP Tablet can cause a mild and short-lasting decrease in blood pressure. Be cautious if you are taking any medication for lowering high blood pressure.

Deformation of penis

Tadox DP Tablet should be used with caution if you have a physical deformity of the penis. The risk of permanent loss of sexual potency is high in such a condition.

Prolonged and painful erection

Tadox DP Tablet should be used with caution if you have had a painful erection lasting for more than four hours. This may be due to an underlying condition like Sickle cell anaemia, Multiple Myeloma or Leukemia.

Loss of hearing

Tadox DP Tablet may cause a sudden decrease in hearing capabilities along with ringing in the ears and dizziness. Contact your doctor immediately if such symptoms are observed.

Loss of vision

Tadox DP Tablet may cause a sudden loss of vision in one or both eyes. It can affect your ability to differentiate between colors. It should be used with extreme caution if you have Retinitis Pigmentosa, a rare genetic disorder of the retina.

Other medicines

Tadox DP Tablet should be used with caution if you are taking medicines for hypertension, heart disease etc. Report the use of all medicines including herbs and supplements to the doctor.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose of Tadox DP Tablet as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one.

Interaction with Alcohol

Description

Use of alcohol while taking this medicine may result in moderate to severe impairment of cognition, body movements, and may also cause sleep abnormalities.

Consumption of alcohol is not recommended during treatment with Tadox DP Tablet due to the increased risk of serious side effects such as drowsiness, dizziness, impaired thinking, and loss of consciousness.

Liver disease

Tadox DP Tablet should be used with extreme caution if you have liver diseases. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary based on your clinical condition.

Bipolar mania or depression

Tadox DP Tablet is not recommended for use if you have a bipolar disorder characterized by frequent mood changes ranging from depression to hyperactivity or mania.

Glaucoma

Tadox DP Tablet should be used with extreme caution if you have glaucoma (excessive pressure in your eye) due to the increased risk of worsening your condition.

Heart diseases

Do not take Tadox DP Tablet if you have had a heart attack in the past 3 months, or stroke or heart failure in the past 6 months as it may worsen your condition.

Kidney diseases

Tadox DP Tablet is not recommended if you have severe kidney impairment. If the impairment is mild then this medicine can be used with suitable dose adjustments.

Obstructive disease of the lungs

Report the incidence of any obstructive disease of the lungs and airway passages. Use of Tadox DP Tablet is not recommended as the risk of adverse effects are significantly high.

Painful erection

Report the incidence of prolonged and painful erection to the doctor. This may be due to underlying conditions such as sickle cell anaemia, leukaemia or deformation of the penis. The risk of permanent tissue (penis) damage is high if you have such a condition and hence caution is advised while using Tadox DP Tablet.

Disease of the retina

Tadox DP Tablet should be used with caution if you have a disorder of the retina in which colour discrimination is impaired (colour blindness).

Tadox DP Tablet can be taken with or without food as directed by your physician. Usually, it is taken one to three hours before anticipated sexual activity. Tadox DP Tablet should be taken only once every every day. Avoid driving or doing any activity requiring concentration until you know how Tadox DP Tablet affects you. Tadox DP Tablet may cause a drop in your blood pressure, so to prevent fainting, it is advised to get up slowly if you have been sitting or lying down. Inform your doctor if the erection persists for more than four hours after sexual intercourse. Avoid Tadox DP Tablet if you have had a heart attack in the past three months, or stroke or heart failure in the past six months. Keep Tadox DP Tablet out of reach of children and pets. Ensure that the unused medicine is disposed of properly.
