Description
Terbolax-S Syrup is a combination medicine that helps in relieving productive cough. It dissolves thick mucus formed in the air passages and makes it easier to cough out mucus made in your chest (phlegm). It helps to relieve symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, breathing difficulties, coughing, etc., caused by bronchospasm in bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, etc. Use Terbolax-S Syrup only if advised by your physician. You may experience certain side effects like headache, diarrhoea, blurred vision, nausea and vomiting, etc. Do not use Terbolax-S Syrup if previously allergic to it. Complete the entire treatment course for the best results even if symptoms subside. Maintain caution while using this medicine in heart, kidney or liver impairment patients. Take Terbolax-S Syrup with or without food and adequate water. Do not give this medicine to children without consulting your physician. Also, this medicine is not safe for use in pregnant women due to the fetal side effects. Hence tell your doctor if you are pregnant before using it.

Allergy

Gastric ulceration

Hypokalemia

There may be electrolyte disturbances in some patients with low potassium levels (hypokalemia). Hence use Terbolax-S Syrup in caution in such patients.

Seizures

Gastric ulceration

How it works
Ambroxol works by promoting mucus clearance and easing a productive cough. Guaifenesin reduces the thickness of mucus in the air passages; this makes it easier to cough up the mucus and clear the airways. Salbutamol improves the amount of airflow to the lungs and makes breathing easier. Menthol causes a feeling of coolness and also reduces itching and pain.
