Description
Zyrcold Syrup is a combination medicine used for the treatment of allergic rhinitis and productive cough (wet cough), a cough that produces mucus or phlegm. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 2 years of age.

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known history of Stevens-Johnson syndrome, which is a rare but serious disorder of the skin, due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition.

General warnings

CNS Depression

Use of this medicine may cause mild to moderate CNS depression, resulting in sleepiness, difficulty in concentrating, etc. It is advised that you do not perform any activities that require high mental alertness such as driving a vehicle or operating machinery if you experience any of these side effects during treatment with this medicine.

Alcohol Use

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients who consume alcohol on a regular basis due to the increased risk of serious adverse effects.

Other medicines

This medicine may increase the risk of sleepiness and impaired thinking when taken with medicines that have a sedative or tranquilizing effect. How it works
Ambroxol promotes mucus clearance and eases a productive cough. Cetirizine works by blocking the action of a natural substance produced by the body which is responsible for causing allergic symptoms. Their combination is thus better effective for the treatment of a productive cough.
